CNet reports Western Digital shipping high-speed 2TB hard drive .

Oh, goody.  This means a 12 drive RAID 6 array could hold 20TB – or approx 80,000 slides.  That would be the output of a lab scanning 300 slides per day for two years.  Moore’s Law applied to storage is really helping digital pathology :)
